First of all thank you for hosting this contest and giving everyone a chance to create our own Corebots.

I chose to create a rabbit Corebot. My wife has been closely following the development of Recore and also has a great love for bunnies. So I created this BN-Y frame with her in mind. I was intrigued by the concept of using the core as the rabbit haunch area, as they tend to have a rounded shape. My concept for the BN-Y frame was to provide an alternate option for the Mack core offering a smaller, weaker, but much more agile body. I created a 3D model of my Corebot using Maya, then painted over the renders in Photoshop to produce the final product. I decided to include blueprints for the frame to better show off the details and provide alternate perspectives of the design.

Thank you again for the opportunity to participate, my wife and I are excited for the release of Recore. Whether I win or not, it was a lot of fun creating the BN-Y frame.

The H4MM-R is a corebot which is designed after the Hammerhead Shark. It has the ability to float over the ground quite high, using the power provided by its core (there is not to be expected a sea or lake or any kind of landskape that has to do with water on a desert-type planet). In combat situations the H4MM-R is really passionate and able to strike swiftly and deal tons of critical damage to its foe like its biological counterparts.

My CoreBot is called "Scout", he is a drone type bot who can navigate the skies and do some recon on enemies ahead. Scout is also equipped with a laser beam in front for further assisting in enemy battles. I think he fits perfectly in the world of RECORE.

I had internet issues so I don't know if you received my pictures so excuse me if I send it twice.

I wanted to make a corebot who looks like a bird so I oriented my design to look like an ostrich. I wanted something like a mount which is able to run fast and do high jumps so there it is my little corebot "Ryker the runner"!

It's suppose to look like a large cat like bot, with a laser harpoon tail, claws with a syringe full of poison, sharp blades on his hind legs and sharp teeth to rip the enemie apart (sadly in my mind it looked better then on paper). This bot would be the perfect killer

This little guy is Clark, a corebot who I designed with a hawk in mind, as in nature hawks have excellent vision that they use to hunt prey. His purpose is to scout out unknown and potentially dangerous terrain in order to create maps, find possible hazards, and guide colonists.

My little robot buddy is named GA-RY (Gary).

He's a small 3-inch parasite robot that latches itself onto other's of its kind and can temporarily immobilize them while passively draining their power. After its absorbed enough energy (which is stored in its smaller orbs that make up its tail), it then attaches to its allies and gives them a short power boost. It's able to move either by slithering like a snake or by leaping great distances by using its tail as a spring.

This is my Corebot, George (SI-PHON). Originally designed to absorb and store any type of energy in order to transfer the energy to any type of powered exoskeleton, weapon, device and gadget, now he absorbs the energy of Corebots using his claws to shoot energy beams, rapid fire beams and beams coming out of his chest and face. he can also spin his torso so he can fire his beams from his claws, chest and face to obliterate any type of enemy in medium and close range.

My Corebot is a worm/Driller. Its goal is to dig and find hidden items and sometimes get into spaces the protagonist cant get to another thing it can do also is wjen its fully upgraded,it can dive through lava and get items with the guidence of the protaganist. When attacking its not much of a fighter but more of a grappler. It will hold an enemy in place by wrapping its body around the enemy and sending shock waves to stunn the enemy.

I made the dog from recore using a Plasma ball as the main core and his eyes are remote controlled and can change colors! The body is wire framed and different types of micro cell foam. And then about 8 layers of paint. Over all completion took a couple weeks in my free time. But I love the dog and wanted my own! čśü

Ratcher. He helps you out by digging helpful resources such as keys to open doors etc. He also has a mini rotor built in to the back of his torso to help you out as well. However, Ratcher does not like fighting and cowers behind the rest of the corebots.

The corebots that have been released so far are all based on animals, Mack being a dog, Seth being a spider, and Duncan being a gorilla. My corebot is based off of a tiger. Not only are tigers very powerful, but they're also stealthy. So maybe you guys can add like a "stealth mode" for a corebot? That would be pretty cool.

My corebot is based on a eagle. It is able to carry you over obstacles and at the end of its wings, instead of feathers they are blades that it can launch at enemy bots.

My CoreBot is a fat helpful robot.

It moves by driving on a single wheel, and stores it's core inside the body.

This CoreBot is an expert engineer, and it's specialty is fixing broken things and hacking doors in no time using his four arms.

It is very friendly and loyal.

Name: Cecil

Personality: Posh, Self-confident. Cecil is capable and he knows it. He likes to do his tasks quickly and effectively and rest around Joules neck after his use is fulfilled

Frame: Sr-Pnt

Tasks made for: Sr-Pnt are designed to traverse the sands of Far Eden with low effort. They are outfitted with sensors that can map out what is underneath sand and survey it all and relay to other corebots.

Use for game-play: Cecil can assist Joules in mapping out the area around them and find things hidden by the sand dunes of Far Eden. He will also be useful in diverting attention by going to a location and rattling its core which is on its tail. The corebot may also restrain foes attacking Joule and allow her to escape situations or put the odds in her favor. Another ability he posses is the ability to coil up like a spring and allows Joule to jump to higher locations.

Overall: Cecil is a Scout character. Good for surveying, Distracting, and Restraining. He gives the information he gather to his companions and assist them all.

Creation of Cecil: I'm not artistic at all. So I just got inspired to try for this competition. it started off as a drawing on Fresh Paint. it was terrible but I knew I wanted a snake corebot with the core in its tail. I then divided to try the Microsoft 3D Builder program. I learned the program and made something I really like and came out with the personality and name and everything after he was done.

Wait, do you mean like an original core bot? If so probably a dinosaur type of core bot. Maybe one that looks like the Loch Ness Monster. That would let players explore underwater area ( assuming the video game has water boards) that would be pretty neat. Or dragon so you fly all over the place....yeah, I guess I'm just getting at there should probably be a robot dragon or dino xD.

I present Kena. A corebot able to slide on any surface with great speed and can be ridden by Joule simply put your feet on both side platforms.

Kena is extremely agile in combat. It features a fully articulated body with two very powerful side cannons and teeth that serve as claws or even a lethal weapon in addition its tail is extremely sharp. One of the most powerful corebots ready to help Joule on your journey.

Hello,

I made this Owl Corebot that measures 11 cm high, 11 cm wingspan, it fits in a palm.

It is composed of parts of watches (watch strap, dial, Electronic watch mechanism which allows for the light in the eyes thanks to LED), metal washers, a ball (I kept my child's soul I still have my marbles) of speaker magnets to their heads, beads and plastic tube pieces (for eyes), springs and other small accessories.

My sculpture has no welds, screws or glue. Everything holds by interlocking or by any metal son. It weighs 230 g.

I'm french so i say in french too the description :

Bonjour,

This CoreBot's purpose is to pass the butter.

I created this using two programs. The first is called Autodesk Inventor, where I made a full 3D model of the CoreBot, I than took it into Photoshop where I added in the color, texture, and designed the rest of the image.

My CoreBot is a flying type. I studied every CoreBot companion present in the game (at least from the official arts) and thought "if already have a dog and a gorila CoreBot, why not one based on a eagle?". Basing on this idea, I created my CoreBot based on a eagle and I'm very proud of the final result!

He has two rockets, one under each wing, that what makes him fly, and his energy esphere is on the center, under his "body".

I'm a massive Transformers fan, so took the idea from that, my corebot is a humanoid robot with a gun for a hand who transforms into a hovercar!

Ryan Huhn

His name is Handible! So Handible actually needs 3 cores to work: 2 in each hand and then one for his eye/brain. As you can see he has no real body and has to use his hands to walk around and get anywhere. This dude has mad ups and can jump super high with them, climb up almost any surface and break through some pretty big obstacles. Since he has to use his hands all the time to walk around he can get tired. Here's the cool part... Joule can actually wear him on her back and place her hands into his to use as giant robot gloves. Handible helps her get to hard to reach places or beat up tougher baddies. When she wears him his eye can give her read outs on potential danger as well as be a built in gps.

First I want to said thank you for this and I apologize for my english, I'm french but I hope you will understand.

So, the idea was to build a Corebot moving mainly using his core.

Then, for combat he can grab ennemis with his grabnel or stop them with his tazer arm.

I want a very "light" Corebot which can take Joule on dark places and enlightened the area.

Finally, for his behavior, he is brain damaged so he do silly stuff like always rolling his head like a fool, he is questionning about everything because he lost memory, everything is a new discovery for him.

His name is Wyatt ! Hope you enjoy!

I tried to create a Corebot that would be useful in my daily routine, based in my common habits. I drink a lot of tea and soda when i'm working, gaming etc so i took some inspiration from those crazy and colorful Japanese vending machines and designed a voice-controlled robot to serve my favorite soft drinks anytime!

Rams

Rams

Well, I don't think he's really original, and I don't have any skills in art, but I'm still proud of this!

I called him "Rox" (it's the fox's French name in Disney's "The Fox and the Hound", i love this movie), obviously he's a fox corebot.

His creator tried to make some kind of "high-end" robot with low-quality materials.

Rox is sneaky: he doesn't make much noise, he's quick, and his metal is covered with an high-tech color-changing paint that helps him a lot when he wants to hide, and surely he will.

He will, because he's also easily freaked out: if there's a problem (bad guys shooting at him, for example), he'll want to hide or to run away if his master isn't around to help him.

But also, he wasn't designed for melee fights: if he needs to attack someone, he'll use his only weapon: a sort of cannon that shoots... taser-balls? This gun's bullets will electrocute his target. As Rox is sneaky, he'll always try to find a hideout to shoot, without being noticed by anyone.

Rox is fully metallic, his body is made of aluminium, his legs in steel and his feet in copper. Basically, he's made like any other Corebot, with metal, motors, pistons, and some other things, but for him, most of these are hidden. You can still see his head's pistons that act as a neck, and some of his internal systems that aren't covered where you have to put the Core.

For my design, I went with a kangaroo archetype.

The CoreBots name is "Rufus" you know: "Kangarufus" (Bad Joke) It was originally going to be a female CoreBot named "Rue" that could carry large amount of items in her "pouch" because I noticed a lack of female CoreBots. But after watching the stream with Joe Staten, he said there was a kinda sort of reason for them having male names and I wanted to adhere to that design choice.

When creating Rue/Rufus I studied the design of each CoreBot in the game and I wanted to replicate that specific style while trying to maintain creativity and also trying to make it real and practical and of course fun and whimsical like the game has shown so far. I spent a lot of time on the legs trying to find out what kind of style I should have done, but eventually went with a sort of spring/piston approach. I have a pet rabbit that I took a lot of inspiration from since she's basically a small kangaroo, and she definitely helped with the design process.

It has a "purple" core to signify the imagination aspect and the personality traits of a fun, immature, hyper and creative nature. Like most kangaroos. And I couldn't think of a creative frame name besides "KNGA-ROO" or something of that nature.

The overall purpose of the Rue/Rufus CoreBot is to shuttle supplies around in a timely matter in its pouch or the ability to bring down cavern walls or other obstacles with its boxing gloves. And it's a kangaroo, they're funny animals.

"MULE" is a bipedal corebot designed for being a packmule with a large compartment in the back for all the stuff that's too much to carry for a single person. Carrying expensive equipment it has to be equipped with a personal defence system, hence the high powered laser which draws power from it's core as well as an internal battery for maximum power.

Rudy is a flying scout corebot. I created him out of paper with the design drawn up in PowerPoint and then printed and glued together. The engines can rotate and pivot to simulate Rudy being able to steer and change directions while flying. The core is actually separate from Rudy's body and can be removed! He has no visible weapons and is used primarily to scout from above to alert Joule of incoming dangers or areas she may want to visit.

My corebot, Rodger, was built for atmospheric data collection. He is capable of scouting for enemies and giving Joule a boost to greater heights.

My core bot frame is named DR-GN and it's core is named Merick. The DR-GN frame is perfect for crowd control by creating energy bursts that seperate and track core bytes. It also fires a giant burst downward creating a small burst with lasting damage. The best crowd control would be him spinning above adversaries attacking several opponents with his tail. The compassionate side is shown when DR-GN wraps it's wings around Joule protecting her from projectiles while she heals. It can also lift her and glide her down gently after her double jump/boost combo. Merick perfectly fits this aggressive protective personality. "He does not want to or like to kill, but he will bathe in the blood of his enemies to protect the ones he love." Exotics frames would be a synch such as a frame that has the wings on the forearms such the mythical wyvern (could even be called WY-VN). Another could be bulky and laced with spikes for a higher attack. Thank you for your consideration.

You guys challenged me on Twitter to build a CoreBot out of popcorn, so I have done just that. Introducing: Poppy. Poppy is based off of the classic Earth dinosaur "Tyrannosaurus Rex". Poppy chews things. Poppy breaks things. Poppy is big, and does.. like.. dinosaur things.. yeah. So its a bit of a joke submission, but hey, hope I gave a laugh to whoever is reading this.

My 8 year old daughter was inspired to make a new corebot for Joule's adventures to enter your contest. Our corebot is Dave (P4-CK) is based on an elephant or mammoth. His core is purple because he has the loyalty of Mack (blue) and the strength of Duncan (red).

Dave is mainly used as a mobile home and fortress for Joule and the other corebots. On long journey's, Dave provides shelter for Joule and the other corebots by holding them in his stomach vault to protect them from the high winds and desert sand. Dave can travel long distances with ease and if attacked he offers a lot of protection with his heavy armor. Dave's ears function as radar and satellite dishes to help Joule search Far Eden for resources. Joule can sleep inside him and use his built in workbench to upgrade the other corebots. Dave can also carry or drag heavy objects.

Meet Terry, model BA-TT. Whereas Mack's purpose is exploration, Duncan's excavation, and Seth's traversal, Terry's purpose is topographical analysis. As I've read, weather plays an important role in the landscape and access to certain areas of a map. Mack has his role of sniffing things out, Duncan smashes through certain obstacles and Seth can simply aid Joule in circumventing certain scenarios. But what about items or areas that may be buried beneath the endless sands of Far Eden? This is where Terry comes into play; his sonar pulse will not only reveal these gems, but mark them on your map for later retrieval when weather conditions are more favorable.

Menacing robots behind a closed door? Not a problem! Terry will ping hidden enemies for you as well, giving you a tactical advantage. Sonar can also be used in combat, doing a small amount of AOE damage and briefly stunning foes with each pulse. While not the most apt fighter, Terry plays an excellent supplementary role, staving off foes long enough for Joule to land a finishing blow. And not completely defenseless himself, Terry will also swoop down for a bite attack when an enemy is left vulnerable, otherwise remaining airborne to avoid conflict and taking damage.

Terry has an eccentric personality; curious, quirky, and somewhat awkward. He's a non-confrontational CoreBot who prefers to sit on the sidelines, but won't hesitate to jump into the fray if his allies are in danger.

Terry's color, like Seth, is yellow.

My CoreBot is known as Nick as he will always be there in the Nick of time. See what I did there? Jokes aside the design of this corebot was based on speed and fast movement to get you from point A to point B in record time. The legs on Nick absorb any kind of shock making Nick able to jump to high points with ease.
